  • Proactively work with the Management as a finance business partner, and updating  on key financial activities that include overall Company financial performance
  • Supervision and management of overall Gross to Net/Trade spend that include planning and control over spend in coordination with the Category Planning and Activation team for trade spend activity planning
  • Preparation of strategic plans, annual contract/budget and monthly forecasts up till Net Revenue including variance analysis of actual results versus plan.
  • ROI calculation for big bets and other key activities pre and post execution 
  • Trade claims management, that include supervision of trade claims settlement with accurate and timely reporting/recording of trade related expenses in compliance with US GAAP and internal Mondelez standards. It also include continuous liaison with customers for timely customer claim settlement and liaison with MBS team for timely and accurate recording of expenses.
  • Promote and implement a proactive control environment 
  • Ensuring adequacy of monthly trade spend accruals in system and managing monthly balance sheet reconciliations of trade accruals  
  • Distributor price modeling and review of the ROI     
  • Key accounts management, that include Metro/Hyperstar/USC and local modern trade accounts
  • Supervising monthly customer ledger reconciliation   
  • Weekly planning and submission of best estimate of Gross revenue/Trade spend with reflection of any risks/ops. This include continuous liaison with Customer service team, CP&A team and sales team.
  • Continuous liaison and business partnering with sales/Category planning team to provide any financial support on ad hoc queries
  • SKU wise, brand wise, customer wise, town wise revenue analysis. Support to commercial team for bottom up planning of revenue that include both sell in and sell out
  • Sales overhead management that include robust planning and strong control over spend
  • Monthly DSO management and continuous liaison with credit controller to deliver monthly DSO and overdue targets
  • Preparation and analysis of performance scorecards of different business cycles for regional reviews
  • Lead assigned sales controlling projects      
  • Build and coach the subordinates/team to ensure all are motivated towards delivering results

Qualifications

 (a) Knowledge including: education, qualifications and training

Higher education in Finance or Economics
Understanding and practical application of treasury theory and best practices

(b) Skills

Minimum 6 years working experience in finance function in large / mid-size FMCG or MNC or reputed local group in UAE, out of this at least 3 years experience of managing credit control function directly covering large distributor base.
