Introduction
The Umeed-e-Nau (UeN) initiative of the Centre of
Excellence (CoE) in Women and Child Health aims to support the
introduction, scale up and further piloting of high quality and high
impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent
Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public
and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls
empowerment interventions. UeN has two major components; one is to
introduce proven effective MNCAH interventions at scale in 14 districts
and the second is generate evidence on innovative approaches to improve
MNCAH while included in the public health programme in Pakistan.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the supervision of
overall quality control and assurance of data for all field sites and
will be the contact person for all the data related issues. Specific
responsibilities include to:
- recommend modifications and reconfigure databases to ensure the optimal storage of data and minimize data entry complexities
- conduct training sessions of staff for data entry and data capturing
- write queries and codes using various programming languages to generate quality control checks
- conduct site visits to assess the adherence to data management standards and quality assurance of data
- conduct data audits, compile results, analyze and summarize audit findings, and recommend changes where needed
- participate in project meetings and propose recommendations for procedural modifications and development related to data management, quality control and assurance
- prepare and disseminate periodical reports for progress of assigned projects and identify and remove bottlenecks to ensure smooth data entry
- respond to data related queries received from the concerned regarding relevant project issues and procedures.
- supervise data entry of collected forms from various sources such as data documents, electronic data entry systems, and hand held devices.
Requirements
You should have:
- Masters/BS(Hons.) degree in Computer Science.
- at least three years experience of Asp.Net, SQL, JavaScript, GIS, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap preferably in any reputable healthcare or research organization
- excellent command over use of Webapi, google maps, JSChart and MIS development programming languages like C# and other software like SQL
- strong analytical, qualitative and research writing skills
- resilience and ability to cope up with work pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
- willing to travel within and outside Karachi on need basis.
